Berlinale 2021

Open to narrative and documentary feature-length films (60+ minutes), World, International and European premieres only


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be considered for the Canadian Selection Screenings in must meet the following criteria:

  • Films must be completed in the 12 months preceding the festival;
  • Running time: 60+ minutes;
  • Films may not have been released commercially, nor telecast or webcast, outside their country of origin or in Europe;
  • Films must be:
    • World premieres (Official Competition);
    • International premieres (Encounters)
    • World, International or European premieres (for sections Panorama, Forum and Generation);


Sundance 2021

Open to narrative and documentary feature-length films (50+ minutes), world and international premieres only.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be considered for the the Canadian Selection Screenings, your film must:

  • Have a World or International premiere status.
  • Be completed after January 1st, 2019.
  • Have a running time of 50 + minutes.
  • Not have been released theatrically, screened at festivals, broadcast or streamed on television or the Internet outside of their country of origin prior to February 1, 2021.


ONLINE SCRENNERS

Downloadable Vimeo links are preferred

Films in a language other than English must be subtitled in English at the moment of the submission;

Your image editing should be final. The programmers are used to viewing work at the post-production stage (i.e. with no color timing, no final mix, etc.) and, as such, know how to “fill in the technical gaps.”

Short films need be submitted directly to the festival.
